Mourinho frustrated due to this Man Utd star's contract: report

Sports
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly concerned with his club’s efforts in renewing Marcos Rojo‘s current contract. The Argentinian arrived at Old Trafford during Louis Van Gaal‘s reign but the Portuguese manager has clearly shown faith in him. Rojo was one of the Red Devils’ better performers last season before his horrific injury that ruled him out for quite some time with him only just recently returning. The centre-back’s contract is set to run out next summer and so Mourinho hopes not only to end it to secure his services for longer but to also ward off any interest from other clubs. Should he fail to come to terms with the club, he would be put in a scenario where he will have the upper hand in contract negotiations as the former Chelsea ma...

Mourinho has decided where this Man Utd star will play next season: report

Sports
Timothy Fosu-Mensah is set for one hell of a competition next season in his attempt to win a consistent place in the Manchester United starting XI. The Dutch star was loaned out to Crystal Palace this Premier League campaign as Jose Mourinho wished to get him the game time he deserved. There’s no better experience than staying in the same division and he’s pretty much set up to return straight into the first team next season with a better chance of winning his place at the club. The question is where will Fosu-Mensah play? A quite stereotypically versatile footballer from the Netherland, he can play as a right-back, centre-back, defensive midfielder and central midfielder. For the London club though he’s mainly operated in their defence with the appearance stats leaning ...

Pundit claims this Man Utd star will leave in the summer

Sports
ESPN FC pundit Shaka Hislop has warned Manchester United that they will lose Luke Shaw at the end of the current Premier League campaign. The Englishman’s contract is set to expire in the summer with reports that Arsenal and Chelsea are both monitoring his situation. United are said to be interested in renewing his contract but negotiations have yet to begun, leaving some fans worried. Shaw can certainly still become a legend at the club should he wish to be and he has done enough to earn an extension on his current contract. Hislop though believes that Luke will leave the Red Devils but that it won’t be a move to London to join the Gunners and Arsene Wenger. According to the Daily Star, Shaka said: “Without question, Jose Mourinho’s comments [on Shaw] are with the view

Pundit suggests Mourinho is misusing this Man Utd star

Sports
Pundit Danny Higginbotham has suggested that Jose Mourinho is misusing Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, agreeing with several other critics. Many pundits and fans alike feel that the Portuguese manager has failed to get the best out of the Frenchman due to limiting his ability on the pitch. Pogba has often played in a two man midfield for United which has forced him to keep an eye on his defensive responsibilities for the team. Mourinho is reported to believe that his player should be capable of fulfilling any role that is asked to be due to the player’s ability. Higginbotham though refuses to believe that Jose and the Red Devils are going to get anything out of Paul if he plays in his current role. According to Caught Offside, Danny wrote in the Sun: “Paul Pogba has com...

Man Utd name their price for this Arsenal target: report

Sports
Manchester United have reportedly named their price for Arsenal target Chris Smalling who is set to leave the club in the next transfer window. Rumours have been circulating since the club’s loss to Newcastle in which the Englishman played quite a huge negative role in. Smalling conceded a free-kick by diving, from which the Magpies managed to score the only goal of the game, frustrating fans and reportedly Jose Mourinho too. Apparently it upset the Portuguese manager so much that he decided to move the centre-back on right then and there with the London club being linked ever since. Arsene Wenger has publicly stated his desire to reinforce defensively but whether his target is the former Fulham man or not is yet to be seen. According to Metro, the Daily Star report that the Red Dev...

Mourinho hails these two Man Utd stars after win vs Huddersfield

Sports
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has hailed Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof’s performances in the 2-0 victory over Huddersfield in the fifth round of the FA Cup. The two defenders were involved from the start of the match and put in convincing displays despite initial concerns from fans. Lindelof is clearly a player supporters look forward to seeing more of but he has proven that he needs some patience as he adjusts to his new surroundings. Smalling meanwhile, put behind himself a horrible performance vs Newcastle to give fans some hope but they’ll surely be cautious of it. Mourinho was certainly impressed with both players, particularly in their first half performance as United headed 1-0 up at the break. According to Manchester Evening News, Jose said: “For ...

Pundit warns Man Utd they're miles away from City

Sports
Chris Sutton has warned Manchester United that they’re far away from fierce rivals and league leaders Manchester City. Jose Mourinho’s men are currently in second place, 16 points apart from their cross town rivals but the pundit didn’t mean what he said just literally. Sutton was discussing the difference in abilities between the two teams and based on current form and points total, it’s hard to argue against it. Mourinho also effectively handed the title to City when he admitted it would be too difficult to catch up to them at this point of the season. While that may be true, it wasn’t good to say publicly and the BT Sport man even had a warning for the Portuguese manager and his side. According to The Sport Review, Chris said to BBC Radio 5 Live: “Ma...

Man Utd star insists he feels good amid Madrid rumours

Sports
It appears that Manchester United’s David de Gea can’t escape the Real Madrid rumours but he has insisted that at the moment he feels good at the club. The Spanish giants have been heavily linked with the goalkeeper who many assume is the best in the world but it appears that he’s attempting to cool down interest. United fans have a faulty fax machine to thank for not losing De Gea to Madrid and after that transfer fiasco he signed a new deal, remaining committed to the club. The Spaniard has shown incredible professionalism since what happened and has continued excelling to fulfil his true potential. Now Real have seemingly reignited their interested in him once more but rather than discuss what may happen in the future, he chose to focus on the present. According to Ca...

Mourinho believes this Man Utd star is underrated

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho believes Scott McTominay has been heavily underrated by fans, lauding him with praise following the 2-0 win over Huddersfield in the fifth round of the FA Cup. The midfielder featured from the start of the match, much to the delight of supporters as he played in a satisfactory manner. McTominay got promoted to the first team this season having impressed with the club’s academy and Mourinho has certainly grown to love him. Expected to play a backup role, the youngster has found himself playing more and more often as the season goes by with things heating up. It’s no surprise considering how much his Portuguese manager rates him, calling on Scotland’s manager to pick Scott for the first team as well. According to Metro, Jose said to MUT...

Mourinho furious with these two Man Utd stars following loss to Newcastle

Sports
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was reportedly furious with stars Paul Pogba and Phil Jones following the 1-0 loss to Newcastle. Despite the loss, the club managed to bounce back yesterday with a win vs Huddersfield in the fifth round of the FA Cup but neither player featured. Pogba was bizarrely left out due to illness despite Mourinho promising he would play in the match whilst Jones’ was presumably just dropped or rested. Eric Bailly was chosen on the bench instead, much to the delight of United fans who believe he’s a much better option than the club’s other defensive options. Time will tell whether Jose has truly had a bust up with both players as some sections of the media reports but supporters will certainly not want to see Paul leave in the aftermath of it ...
