Madrid will finally leave this Man Utd star alone: report

Manchester United fans will be delighted to hear that Real Madrid have had their heads turned away from signing David de Gea by Chelsea Thibaut Courtois.

The Spaniard has been heavily linked with a return to his home nation for a couple of seasons now but it appears that may no longer be the case.

Madrid famously failed in their attempt to lure De Gea to the club and he was quickly made to sign an extension to his contract with United.

Since then the goalkeeper has continued his rise in the footballing world, establishing himself as one of the world’s best players.

Thankfully for the Red Devils, the Spanish giants are starting to look elsewhere, identifying Courtois as an easier signing.

According to Sports Mole, The Independent have reported that Madrid believe they have a better chance of signing Thibaut than David.

The Belgian international has publicly stated his desire to return to Spain where he once played for La Liga’s Atletico Madrid.

His statement couldn’t have come for a worser time for the Blues as they struggle to put behind them a poor run of form.

Their manager Antonio Conte has also had his future thrown up into the air and it may be that should he be sacked, many of their players will aim for a move elsewhere.

Real Madrid are also reportedly interested in Eden Hazard and it’s possible that the transfer can transpire if things don’t improve at Stamford Bridge.

Either way, Manchester United supporters won’t care about what’s happening in London and will just be happy to see Madrid take their eyes off of David de Gea.
