PSG aren't interested in this Man United star: report

Paris Saint Germain are not planning a swoop for Marcos Rojo in the summer at present, according to reports.

Reports have suggested that Unai Emery was planning to make a bid for the Argentine defender after negotiations over a new contract at Old Trafford broke down.

Rojo missed the early stages of the campaign with a knee injury and has only made five Premier League starts since returning in November.

But according to ESPN‘s Jonathan Johnson, the Ligue 1 leaders have no plans in place to sign Rojo in the summer.

In fact, following the 3-1 defeat at the Bernabeu, nothing is particularly certain at the Parc des Princes – and that includes their transfer policy.

Emery was booed by segments of the home crowd ahead of PSG’s 5-2 win over Strasbourg on Saturday and you sense that he won’t last much longer unless he manages to pull off a big victory over the European champions in the return leg.

No tangible transfer policy can be drawn together when you don’t know who will be in charge next season, after all, and United’s failure to sign Renato Sanchez in May 2016 was an example of this type of organisational inertia.

And with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling set to leave the club over the summer, Mourinho will not want to see the Argentine go anywhere.
