Good for Tottenham and Arsenal: Top target promised June exit

Battle of North London

Tottenham and Arsenal are set to battle it out for one star forward in the summer transfer window after he revealed he has been promised a June exit.

That player comes in the form of Bordeaux forward Malcom who looked set to join one of the North London clubs last month.

Though, it was decided that he would remain in France until the end of the season as Arsenal sealed a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Spurs bought Lucas Moura.

While that could well be the end of Malcom’s hopes of moving to the Premier League, it is thought that Mauricio Pochettino is still on the lookout for attacking reinforcement.

That could lead to the player moving in June having been promised a move in the summer.

“Yes, there was a promise that I will be negotiating in June. I will choose the team, and Bordeaux will release,” the player revealed.

“I’ve already told you that I wanted to be out to pursue new goals. But I also have to remember that Bordeaux helped me a lot.

“I gave them my word that I would continue to have more time to think about which club I will play.

“Those three or four months will make a lot of difference. “

Safe to say, that will be music to both Tottenham and Arsenal fans’ earns ahead of a potential summer move.
