Everyone saw Man United pair arguing during win at Huddersfield

Huddersfield 0 – Manchester United 2

Manchester United booker their progression to the quarter-final of the FA Cup in some style on Saturday.

The result was never in doubt once Romelu Lukaku put Manchester United 1-0 up thanks to some fine strength from the Belgian on three minutes.

There was controversy – see the picture above – as Juan Mata scored what looked to be a legal goal on the stroke of half-time.

However, it was ruled out by VAR much to the surprise of Mata himself and pretty much everyone on social media.

Ten minutes into the second half, Manchester United wrapped up the win with Lukaku scoring his second goal, having been played in by Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester United pair argue during Huddersfield win

Late on in the FA Cup tie, Jose Mourinho threw on two of his regular first team members to keep them fresh.

Both Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial were introduced, for Juan Mata and Alexis Sanchez respectively.

Martial has not scored for Manchester United since the 1-0 win at Burnley last month and is understandably concerned for his place thanks to the arrival of Sanchez.

Late on in the win at Huddersfield, Nemanja Matic picked up the ball in midfield and had two options.

One was Lingard in an offside position, the other was Martial in a good position.

Matic played Lingard in and Martial was not happy at all. Plenty of Manchester United fans noticed on social media…

(Fair play to Martial, he wants to score every game. Matic is an experienced player, surely he won’t be too bothered about being shouted at!)
