Isaac hasn’t had much success
Watford fans thought that they had signed the ‘next big thing’ when a young Isaac Success arrived at the club from Granada at the beginning of last season.
The Nigerian arrived at Vicarage Road after a strong campaign in 2015/16.
Success struggled to perform last season in the Premier League and only managed to score 1 goal in 19 matches for The Hornets.
He missed 10 games of last season with two separate hamstring injuries which would imply that he isn’t the fittest of players.
Watford loaned out Success to Spanish side Malaga during the January transfer window.
The 22 year old had played just 45 minutes of football for Watford all season and suffered with various knee injuries.
Since signing for Malaga, Success has played just 12 minutes.
“Success is overweight
Spanish news site AS have claimed that Success ‘has come out of shape and with a remarkable excess of weight due to his scarce activity in the Watford’.
Malaga manager Jose Gonzalez stated:
“I am the main endorsement of Isaac to come here and I think that, for this game, the minutes he will play in may not be the necessary player.”
The Spanish media have hinted that Success is overweight and not ready to play yet.
Success looked like he was going to have such a promising career and he will be desperate to impress during the rest of his time in Spain.
Malaga play Barcelona in just less than a month and there would be no better game for Success to prove himself in.
Malaga are rock bottom of La Liga with 15 games to play and need some attacking flair now more than ever.
There is no denying the fact that Success is a quality player and if he manages to recover from this current setback, he should have a bright career ahead of him.
