Spanish giants Real Madrid tonight became the first side in La Liga history to reach an incredible goalscoring mark, during their clash with Real Betis.
Matchup
The two sides went head to head at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, with hosts Betis coming into proceedings on the back of 2 straight league wins, over Villarreal and Deportivo respectively.
Real, meanwhile, had bounced back from a disappointing 2-2 draw with Levante two weeks ago with a pair of impressive victories, first over Real Sociedad(5-2), and then over Paris Saint-Germain (3-1).

Entertaining evening
A thrilling affair has since been played out between the two sides at the Benito Villamarín, with Marco Asensio’s early strike cancelled out by Aïssa Mandi and a Nacho own goal before half-time to see the hosts head into the break in front.
However, Real showcased their class with a stunning second-half comeback, as goals from Sergio Ramos, Marco Asensio, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema saw the Spanish and European champions turn the game on its head.
Milestone
And, while it was a superb night for Real as a whole, the clash marked a particularly memorable occasion for one of Los Blancos’ young stars, in the form of Marco Asensio.
The Spanish attacker’s second goal tonight marked a momentous milestone in Real’s storied La Liga history:
