Goals
Real Madrid might have gone a goal down against PSG, and struggled for parts of their Champions League tie, but they’re not the back to back winners of the competition for nothing.
They came from the goal down to make it 3-1 by the end, after Cristiano Ronaldo equalised and then put them ahead, with Marcelo scoring the third and giving the La Liga side – who have been off the boil this season by their recent standards – a good lead ahead of the second leg at the start of March.
Given it’s the only thing they can win, Real Madrid fans were thrilled, and Twitter couldn’t believe the late goals.
Neymar
All eyes were on Neymar ahead of the game, with the star signing for PSG someone who was supposed to be the next big thing in football and someone who could win the Ballon d’Or after Ronaldo and Messi – but it wasn’t to be – in fact, far from it, with the PSG star lacking at best.
He was panned on Twitter, and all the Ronaldo fans were careful to make their thoughts clear – in fact, the only thing they may agree on with Barcelona fans is that Neymar made a mistake going to PSG and should have stayed at Barcelona.

I thought the actual quality of that Madrid vs PSG game was way below what you’d expect from the players on the teamsheet. And I still think Neymar/Mbappé could turn it round in Paris

We can blame Emery a great deal for his game management… but the players have to be blamed lack of execution in the last 10′. PSG is that flashy fighter with the KO punch. Only problem… he has a glass jaw.

All glory goes to Zidane. He stood up reading the game until the 75th he made the right decision to break PSG’s defense wall. Thank you. #HalaMadrid #UCL

Neymar could’ve won everything again at Barça. But he left us for PSG. Now gets beaten 3-1 by a 4th placed Madrid team. Karma

Cristiano Ronaldo had 10 shots this evening, twice as many as the entire PSG front three (Neymar 2, Kylian Mbappé 2, Edinson Cavani 1). pic.twitter.com/Lb94XfoDZC

Neymar is Overrated lowkey.
He should go back to League 1 to continue showboating and toss the ball up and down.
Barca didn’t even miss him. Fraud.

Ronaldo barely did anything today but got his team 2 very crucial goals. Neymar wanted us to know he could dribble. LOL. Skills that boys in Ajegunle will do on sand.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s numbers is the biggest misleading fact in world football. The funny thing is that it’s not even hard to see he’s not a better football player than Messi and Neymar.
