Impressive
Borussia Dortmund’s loan striker Michy Batshuayi left Chelsea to prove a point to Antonio Conte and he’s certainly doing that at the moment.
That is because the player has only gone and scored again, and then to add to his total even further, scored another goal to complete a dramatic win for Borussia Dortmund.
The Chelsea loanee was shipped out of the club in the January window because he was adjudged to not even be good enough for a backup role to Alvaro Morata.
The club decided to send the Belgian out on loan while Olivier Giroud came in as a backup for Alvaro Morata.
Though, Chelsea fans and Antonio Conte will be livid by how the player has started scoring while their goalscoring run is still on and off.
Alvaro Morata has been injured for a number of weeks but has still gone through a hefty barren run.
Giroud is also yet to open his account for the club having played in their last game against Brighton.
Though, the blues did score four with Eden Hazard (x2), Willan and Victor Moses all getting on the scoresheet.
Even still, Conte will have egg on his face over the Batshuayi situation and the performances he has been putting in abroad.
The star of a dramatic encounter
What was even more impressive about Batshuayi’s brace was just how important it was for Borussia Dortmund.
The German side needed a win in their home leg with Italian side Atalanta.
The Serie A side took a 2-1 lead in the game at Westfalenstadion but Batshuayi wasn’t going to give up on the tie.
He scored Dortmund’s equaliser before scoring his second goal in the 91st minute with some terrific composure.
Whether Chelsea will be made to really regret their decision to outcast him is yet to be seen, but he’s going some way to proving him wrong.
