Goal
No matter who you support, no one wants to see the best players stuck down with injury, and the amount Marco Reus has suffered in his career would make most people feel at least a bit sorry for him – and when you consider how good he is as well, and just what kind of a player he could have been without injury, it makes it worse.
On his latest comeback for BVB, he scored an utter peach of a goal, and showed everyone just what they’ve been missing with him out the game – and just how vital he is for the German side, as his goal led them to a huge victory over Gladbach to consolidate the second place in the Bundesliga.
They’re also fighting for the Europa League trophy as well, after dropping down from the Champions League, and with on loan Chelsea forward Michy Batshuyai scoring left, right and centre for them, they’re one of the favourites for the competition – which is stronger than it has been in previous years given the calibre of teams who have dropped down from the Champions League and those who simply didn’t qualify for it like Arsenal.

So good to see Marco Reus back and scoring for Dortmund. And with a trademark looped finish from the right too. Always felt he had the ability to be the world’s third-best player through the Messi-Ronaldo dominance

Götze, Schürrle and Reus having fun out there. Tried to be a bit too cute on the last play but you can already see the potential of that trio… (+Batshuayi)

Really glad to see Reus back and scoring great goals, without his injuries he’d be one of the best of his generation easily. https://t.co/Yd892Ubyxg

So Marco Reus was back from injury last weekend. But he’s ‘back’ now. What a finish to give Dortmund the lead at Gladbach.

Götze, Schürrle and Reus – the three band members who haven’t given up on the tour yet.
