Madrid are favourites to sign this Man Utd star

Manchester United may have to worry about losing star player Marcus Rashford after Real Madrid have been made favourites to sign him.

The academy product has been heavily talked about in the media of late with pundits claiming he must leave the club in search of match time.

United signed Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window and it’s prompted many pundits to bizarrely worry about Rashford’s match time.

The 20 year old has already made slightly more than 100 appearance for his boyhood club but apparently hasn’t featured enough for his development according to critics.

Jose Mourinho has clearly preferred Marcus and played him at every given opportunity much to the delight of the Red Devils’ fanbase.

According to the Express, Betstars director of trading Ian Marmion said: “For the last few months all the talk has been about Real Madrid’s pursuit of Harry Kane, but it looks like the Spanish giants could have turned their attention to another young English striker.

Marcus Rashford has grown increasingly frustrated at Manchester United with his lack of game time this season and amidst growing rumours that the 20-year-old could be looking for a move away from Old Trafford, Real Madrid have emerged as the 6/1 favourites to make Rashford their next Galactico, closely followed by arch-rivals Barcelona at 8/1.

“Tottenham are currently the leading Premier League club in the market at 11/1, followed by London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal who are both priced at 12/1. Manchester City are unsurprisingly priced as 20/1 outsiders to complete a highly controversial move for Rashford, alongside European giants Juventus and Bayern Munich.

“The opportunity to play alongside the likes of Bale and Ronaldo and challenge for both domestic and European trophies could proved too good to resist for Rashford, so this is definitely a transfer story to keep an eye on.”

The Englishman’s poor run of form of late has coincided with Sanchez’s arrival leading to most pundits believing that was the cause to him being benched but the truth is there’s no direct correlation.

Marcus Rashford is likely to learn a lot from Alexis and there’s certainly no harm that will be done to his development.

The Chilean international prefers to play on the left wing which is the same position that the striker currently plays in for the club.

Rashford is highly rated by Mourinho and there’s no chance that the manager will allow him to leave the club, especially if it’s to direct rivals.

It’s also unlikely that the pacy forward wishes to leave the club he’s been at his whole life and given his young age, he has plenty of time to reestablish himself in the starting XI.
