SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Former New York Knicks forward, Latrell Sprewell was at Saratoga Stadium sports bar on Saturday signing autographs and talking to fans.
He spent five seasons in the big apple and was part of a magical run to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1999. Additionally, “Spree” played with the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves. The first round pick out of Alabama was a four time All-Star and scored over 16,000 points.
Sprewell appreciated all the love he got from New York fans today.
“Well it’s definitely an appreciation for all the hard work I did that I put in when I was here with the Knicks and like I said out of all the teams I played for I had a lot of fun but the New York fan base is like no other. I don’t think there’s another team in the NBA that has a fan base quite like the Knicks do,” Sprewell said.
