22-year-old Hughes has only featured in five Premier League games this season.
However the former Derby County star impressed in those games scoring twice and chipping in with an assist.
Hughes, who cost Watford 4.5 million pounds last summer, has been sidelined with a hamstring injury picked up in November against Manchester United.
Watford vs Everton
It’s been a strange second half of the season for Watford.
While the Hornets are 11th in the Premier League, during the early part of the campaign Watford were threatening to finish the season in the top six.
But every since Everton tried to sign Marco Silva, Watford’s fortunes have nosedived.
Watford only have three wins in their last 16 matches, while Javi Gracia is now in charge at Vicarage Road.
After a 4-1 win over Chelsea, the Hornets crashed back down to earth last time out losing 2-0 at West Ham.
When the Premier League restarts after the fifth round of the FA Cup, Watford travel to Goodison Park to take on their newest EPL rivals: Everton.
Everton are four points clear of Watford in the table.
Watfords crazy injury list
While Hughes is now back training, Watford still have one of the worst injury lists in the Premier League.
There are still 10 players still on the Hornets treatment table: Craig Cathcart, Nathaniel Chalobah, Kiko Femenia, Younes Kaboul, Tom Cleverley, Miguel Britos, Heurelho Gomes, Molla Wague, Christian Kabasele, Jerome Sinclair and Tommie Hoban.
