Pundit backs Aston Villa to struggle against Preston; ignore him for 21/20 cracker - originally posted on Sportslens.com Championship pundit David Prutton has backed Preston North End to put another dent in Aston Villa’s promotion hopes on Tuesday. Villa dropped to third in the table after losing 2-0 at Fulham on Saturday, while North End are just outside the play-off places following a 1-1 draw at home to leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers. Prutton told Sky Sports that he expects Alex Neil’s side to repeat that scoreline at Villa Park (9/2 with Sky Bet). “Aston Villa came crashing back down to earth at Fulham on Saturday as their winning run came to an end at Craven Cottage,” he said. “It was always going to be a tough trip, however, and Steve Bruce will have t...

Pundit believes this is the reason Pogba is suffering

Pundit Robbie Fowler has joined in on the conversation about Paul Pogba and why the Manchester United midfielder has struggled of late. The Frenchman has seen a downturn in form that resulted in him being substituted in loses to both Tottenham and Newcastle while being dropped for the match vs Huddersfield. While boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that it was all tactical, many believe there’s a rift currently going on between the two; something that United have already denied. Pogba’s role has been the talk of the town for the past week and only time will tell whether the Portuguese manager was right all along or not. Fowler though believes that the midfielder’s problems are simply due to the league that he’s in and not just Mourinho’s so called rigid system. ...

Pundit claims this Man Utd star will leave in the summer

ESPN FC pundit Shaka Hislop has warned Manchester United that they will lose Luke Shaw at the end of the current Premier League campaign. The Englishman’s contract is set to expire in the summer with reports that Arsenal and Chelsea are both monitoring his situation. United are said to be interested in renewing his contract but negotiations have yet to begun, leaving some fans worried. Shaw can certainly still become a legend at the club should he wish to be and he has done enough to earn an extension on his current contract. Hislop though believes that Luke will leave the Red Devils but that it won’t be a move to London to join the Gunners and Arsene Wenger. According to the Daily Star, Shaka said: “Without question, Jose Mourinho’s comments [on Shaw] are with the view

Pundit Danny Higginbotham has suggested that Jose Mourinho is misusing Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, agreeing with several other critics. Many pundits and fans alike feel that the Portuguese manager has failed to get the best out of the Frenchman due to limiting his ability on the pitch. Pogba has often played in a two man midfield for United which has forced him to keep an eye on his defensive responsibilities for the team. Mourinho is reported to believe that his player should be capable of fulfilling any role that is asked to be due to the player’s ability. Higginbotham though refuses to believe that Jose and the Red Devils are going to get anything out of Paul if he plays in his current role. According to Caught Offside, Danny wrote in the Sun: “Paul Pogba has com...

Pundit warns Man Utd they're miles away from City

Chris Sutton has warned Manchester United that they’re far away from fierce rivals and league leaders Manchester City. Jose Mourinho’s men are currently in second place, 16 points apart from their cross town rivals but the pundit didn’t mean what he said just literally. Sutton was discussing the difference in abilities between the two teams and based on current form and points total, it’s hard to argue against it. Mourinho also effectively handed the title to City when he admitted it would be too difficult to catch up to them at this point of the season. While that may be true, it wasn’t good to say publicly and the BT Sport man even had a warning for the Portuguese manager and his side. According to The Sport Review, Chris said to BBC Radio 5 Live: “Ma...

Here’s some news from the land of really sick irony. On May 4, the NRA will hold it’s annual “leadership forum” in Dallas. The speakers list for the event promises the standard mouth-foaming of the NRA’s own Wayne LaPierre. It will bring the reqisite irrational screeds in the form of the latest model Anne Coulter, Tomi Lauren. And it will bring a slate of political speakers. Those speakers include North Carolina Representative Richard Hudson, who Americans can thank for a bill that would let people carry concealed weapons in any state, no matter what the state laws say. A bill that Hudson brags is “the greatest gun rights boost since ratification of Second Amendment in 1791.” It includes Ted Cruz. Who is … Ted Cruz. It includes Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, who is best known for

Pundit Robbie Savage has called on Paul Pogba to step up for Manchester United and put his true talents on display in order to become the star of the team. The Frenchman has been the topic of the press for the week with speculation that he’s fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese boss bizarrely substituted Pogba during the losses vs Tottenham and Newcastle and also dropped him for the win vs Huddersfield that was sandwiched between the two aforementioned fixtures. Previously considered undroppable, Paul has suddenly seem himself get on the wrong side of Mourinho who has insisted that the speculation is all false. Either way, Savage doesn’t focus on the rumours on a fall out and instead calls on the former Juventus man to perform as everyone knows he can. Accord...

Pundit explains why Paul Pogba should play at No.10

Sports
Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has encouraged Jose Mourinho to deploy Paul Pogba as a No.10. The Frenchman was taken off during defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United following disappointing displays in a midfield pivot – a role that clearly doesn’t suit his qualities. And debate this week has naturally centred around Pogba’s position, with some blasting the midfielder for failing to deliver whilst others have pointed the finger at Mourinho for using him incorrectly. Speaking ahead of Man United’s clash with Huddersfield Town, Parker noted that perhaps using Pogba as a No.10 would provide a solution. “The game comes very easy to Pogba and I just wonder, if long-term, he might be better suited in the number ten role, where he can ...
