Moyes wants former Spurs player, could be West Ham's first summer signing - originally posted on Sportslens.com West Ham are interested in signing the Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks at the end of this season. The right-back is out of contract in the summer and he could join the Hammers on a free transfer. According to reports, West Ham are ready to keep David Moyes at the club beyond this season and the former Everton boss wants to sign Fredericks for his side. The former Tottenham player is one of Moyes’ first summer targets if reports are to be believed. Fredericks will add some much-needed depth to West Ham’s full-back positions. The likes of Zabaleta and Byram have struggled to impress so far and the Fulham star could secure a starting berth for the Hammers if he per...

Fans removed from game for remarks aimed at black NHL player

Breaking News
A group of fans were removed from a game in Chicago on Saturday night for remarks aimed at Washington Capitals player Devante Smith-Pelly. The fans were shouting “basketball, basketball, basketball” at the NHL star, The Washington Post reported. Smith-Pelly, who is black, was sitting in the penalty box during the game between the Washington Capitals and Chicago Blackhawks at United Center. He suddenly got up from his seat and approached the glass where fans nearby appeared to be shouting at him, a video by CNN affiliate WGN shows. “There is absolutely no place in the game of hockey or in our country for racism and I think it is disgusting,” Capitals’ Coach Barry Trotz told reporters after the game. In a statement, the Chicago Blackhawks said the team was ...

Man Utd legend expects more from this star player

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has said that he expects to see more from the club’s new signing Alexis Sanchez ahead of the 2-0 win over Huddersfield in the FA Cup. The Chilean was somewhat subdued in the first half but was impressive in the second, linking up well with Romelu Lukaku for the second goal. Fans will certainly agree with Scholes’ statement as it is still early days to judge Sanchez but there are hopes that he will continue getting better. Despite having Premier League experience, switching clubs is always difficult, particularly half way through the season and supporters may have to wait until the next season to see him at his best. Paul appears to be a fan of Alexis though and the hopes are that he can take United to the next level with his obvious talent...

Highly rated Everton player does not wish to play for the club next season - originally posted on Sportslens.com Everton striker Sandro Ramirez does not wish to play for the Premier League outfit anymore. The Spaniard joined the Toffees in the summer for a fee of £5m. However, he struggled to adapt to the demands of English football and Everton decided to loan him out to Sevilla last month. Ramirez managed to score just once in 15 games for Everton during his time at the club. It seems that the player is determined to end his nightmare spell at Goodison Park at the end of this season. The Spaniard was excellent for Malaga last year and the former Everton manager Ronald Koeman had high hopes when he signed Ramirez. It will be interesting to see whether Ramirez can rediscover his form...

Sergio Romero 6 – Didn’t need to make any monumental saves but gathered the ball with confidence throughout. Ashley Young 6 – Once again frustrated with his shabby delivery into the box but generally held a good defensive position and moved along play nicely. Victor Lindelof 6 – Looked slightly overwhelmed by Huddersfield’s ebullient start but steadily grew into the game, moving the ball up the pitch with precision. Chris Smalling 7 – For all the criticism received during the week, this was a gutsy, no-nonsense performance at the heart of defence. A warrior inside the box from start to finish. Luke Shaw 6 – Found himself overwhelmed by Huddersfield’s plan to overload Manchester United’s left hand side but, given the circumstances, comp

Roy Keane: Man United will always struggle with this player in the team

Sports
Roy Keane has launched an attack on Manchester United for failing to address various issues at the back, insisting they will always struggle with Ashley Young playing at left-back. Jose Mourinho’s men were widely lambasted for their lack of composure at the back during last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United, with Chris Smalling earning plenty of flak for a woefully ill-disciplined performance. Newcastle skipper Jamaal Lascelles rightly noted after the game that Man United’s centre-backs “didn’t know what to do with the ball at their feet.” And Keane, speaking earlier this week, was typically straight to the point when addressing United’s defensive issues. “I think they’ve not really sorted out the few defensive problems they’ve ha

Former player says this signing is the reason behind Man Utd star's frustrations - originally posted on Sportslens.com Former Manchester United player Paul Ince has revealed that the arrival of Alexis Sanchez has affected Paul Pogba’s morale. Apparently, the French midfielder was the main man at the club before Sanchez joined but things are different now. Ince said: “Since Sanchez joined the club, Pogba’s confidence and mood seems to have gone in the opposite direction to earlier in the season. He looks like a totally different player. It’s probably due to the fact, that pre-Sanchez, he was the main man. He was the kingpin and the one everyone was talking about. But the arrival of Sanchez has taken the shine off him. What I would say is, at United, you’re all...
