ST. PETERS, MO - Some local youth sports parents are weighing in on the decision of a Neosho youth team to raise money by raffling off an AR-15. Organizers of that raffle have been criticized by some who point out the AR-15 was the type of firearm used in the Florida school shooting that took 17 lives. There was a mix of opinions at Gametime Sports in St. Peters Monday night. Some parents did not see a problem with the raffle while others believed it was in poor taste. “It’s not the gun that kills, it’s the people behind them,” said one parent. “It’s not right. It’s in bad taste,” said another parent. Firearm raffles are not uncommon. We found the website 52gunraffle.com. One upcoming raffle features an AR-15 style firearm. AR-15 style rifles were banned in the United States in 1994
Campaign Action Student survivors of the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School spent the weekend speaking out powerfully about what needs to change—about the change they plan on creating. They sent a message to the National Rifle Association and to the politicians in its pocket, promising ongoing shame for lawmakers who continue to stand in the way of stronger gun laws. And we're marching for our children's lives and our children's children and their children." The

The New Yorker has a bombshell story about Donald Trump and another alleged affair he had in 2006, the same year he allegedly cheated on his newlywed Melania. In fact, according to the detailed reporting of Ronan Farrow, he paid for former Playboy “Playmate of the Year” Karen McDougal to fly to Lake Tahoe to attend a celebrity golf tournament. If that sounds familiar, that is the very same weekend he is alleged to have started an affair with porn actress Stormy Daniels. Same weekend he offered another porn actress $10,000 to have sex with him. All while Melania Trump was home with baby Barron Trump. According to Farrow’s reporting, McDougal’s story follows a clearly emerging pattern of secret hotel rendezvous and back channel hush money payoffs. Picking up after McDougal’s first alleged s

In the wake of the latest mass murder in an American school, a deep thought from Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio: x...In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world John 16:33— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) February 15, 2018 Oddly enough, Rubio also said that “people still don’t know how” the shooting happened, so let’s pause for a moment to educate him: A 19 year old armed with a legally purchased semi-automatic rifle opened fire and massacred 17 people. That’s how it happened. Now, back to Rubio’s comments: I think it's important to know all of that before you jump to conclusions that there was some law that we could have passed that would have prevented it. And there may be, but shouldn't we at least know the facts?" Rubio said on Fox News. Rubi

The watchdog office charged with investigating EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt’s potentially improper use of taxpayer funds for travel won’t expand its ongoing probe beyond travel conducted in 2017, citing constraints on its staffing, budget, and time. Therefore, while a trip that cost taxpayers more than $7,000 in June of 2017 would qualify as part of the office’s ongoing investigation into Pruitt’s taxpayer-funded travel, a recent first-class flight from D.C. to Boston would not. According to a letter obtained by Politico, the EPA’s Office of Inspector General wrote to House Energy and Commerce ranking member Frank Pallone (D-NJ) to inform him that while he would look into all of Pruitt’s travel for 2017, he could not expand the probe to cover travel in
