A Minnesota man listening to the police scanner in his home overheard reports of a head-on crash that killed his wife, who was a 911 dispatcher on her way to work Saturday night, PEOPLE confirms. Daniel Bixby did not know the victim’s identity until State Patrol troopers knocked on his door about two hours after the 8 p.m. crash, which authorities blamed on a wrong-way driver suspected of driving while intoxicated. Jenna Bixby, 30, died in the collision on Highway 252 in the Minneapolis suburb of Brooklyn Park, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey confirmed in a Tweet. “She was an extraordinary person,” he wrote. GREENWICH, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says a Greenwich man died after his snowmobile struck a tree early Sunday morning. Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 1:33 a.m. Sunday to a report of a snowmobile accident on private property on Lowber Road in the Town of Greenwich. Deputies found a snowmobile crashed into a tree and one victim who had been ejected from the crash. Officials say the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials have identified the victim as 30-year old Brandon Brown of Greenwich. The crash remains under investigation, but officials say Brown was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and excessive speed appears to be a preliminary factor.
ST. CHARLES CO., Mo. – Missouri Highway Patrol reports 22-year-old, Roy Alonso Villa of Winfield, MO, was killed in an early Saturday morning accident in St. Charles County at Highway 79, south of Route Y. Villa’s vehicle was traveling south on Highway 79 and slid sideways into oncoming traffic when another vehicle struck the left side of his car. Villa was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the car who struck Villa’s vehicle, a 56-year-old female from O’Fallon, MO, was also transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. The accident was likely caused by driving too fast for the road conditions.
TROY, IL - One person is killed and six others are hurt after a wrong way crash overnight on I-70 not far from Troy, Illinois. It all unfolded just after midnight on I-70 west at the 16 mile marker near Route 4. Illinois State Police Trooper Calvin Dye tells us a Ford truck was going the wrong way east in the westbound lanes of I-70 when it slammed head-on into a Toyota Sequoia SUV. Trooper Dye says there were two people in the wrong way truck and five in the Toyota SUV. The wrong way driver, a 25-year-old man from Festus, was thrown from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the truck, a 37-year-old from Bowling Green, Missouri, was taken to a hospital in serious condition. The five people in the Toyota were from Ohio. This time, the iOS 11.2.5 has a major flaw caused by a Unicode symbol, which is a character that visually represents text or a letter in another language. But, the text is actually a virus. International software engineers recently found that two specific Telegu Indian language Unicode symbols can crash any Apple device when used. Here’s how it works. When an Apple user receives a message with the virus text, the device being used will completely shut down. Then, when you go to reboot your device, this bug will lock-up the Messages app as well.
