Manchester United midfield legend has his say on Paul Pogba situation

The Pogba problem

Manchester United’s midfield star Paul Pogba just can’t get out of the headlines at the moment and has everyone talking about him.

The Frenchman has struggled in recent weeks and has been hooked off in both of his last two appearances.

That comes as Jose Mourinho attempted to play the player in a defensive midfield two, which the Frenchman simply isn’t happy with.

He’s seemingly made it clear to the boss that he is not comfortable in that position, mainly down to the defensive responsibilities.

That has had their relationship deteriorate and it looks as though the two Man United stars are at loggerheads.

Now, one man who knows his way around the Man United midfield has had his say on Pogba’s situation, Roy Keane.

“If you are going to play in midfield, you should be able to play in a two or a three,” Keane told ITV.

“The guy needs to do better himself and focus on what football is really about.”

Not only did he go in on Pogba, he also chose to criticise Jose Mourinho’s decision to use Ashley Young as a defender.

“They haven’t sorted out the defensive problems they have had over the last few years and that will continue.

“The two centre-halves need to do better. I’ve always thought with Ashley Young in your back four, you are going to struggle.”
