Man Utd star insists he feels good amid Madrid rumours

It appears that Manchester United’s David de Gea can’t escape the Real Madrid rumours but he has insisted that at the moment he feels good at the club.

The Spanish giants have been heavily linked with the goalkeeper who many assume is the best in the world but it appears that he’s attempting to cool down interest.

United fans have a faulty fax machine to thank for not losing De Gea to Madrid and after that transfer fiasco he signed a new deal, remaining committed to the club.

The Spaniard has shown incredible professionalism since what happened and has continued excelling to fulfil his true potential.

Now Real have seemingly reignited their interested in him once more but rather than discuss what may happen in the future, he chose to focus on the present.

According to Caught Offside, David said to the Daily Star: “I don’t think it’s ever good to discuss the future or what may happen. Only the present, feeling well, playing well and helping United is important.”

David de Gea is unlikely to ever truly rule out a move back to his home country and it’s obviously tough to turn down Real Madrid but at least he’s insisted he’s happy without fuelling fire to the rumours.

Jose Mourinho has also spoken about his desire to keep his best players at the club and name dropped his first choice goalkeeper as an example.

As the Portuguese manager said, it doesn’t make sense that while the Red Devils are trying to build a dynasty, they sell off their most talented individuals.

It’s unlikely Mourinho said this with confidence if De Gea wasn’t going to renew his current contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
